Ebay item 3/18/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Jaguar-XJS-Black/123027544233
Current bid:$5,000 1 bid, 4 days left in auction, seller esm8, 162k miles.
Sellers description:
This is a privately owned 1995 Jaguar XJS in triple black.
The 4.0 engine has just been tuned and the transmission shifts smooth. New battery, new ignition coils, MAP and throttle body cleaned, new tires, new headliner on top. The newer (with glass window) canvas top functions perfectly and is great shape. Upgraded stereo with bluetooth. Brakes in good shape. Engine and trunk compartments are clean with original tool kit in the back.
Gloss black paint on this facelift edition car is original as best I can tell and the good care over the years is apparent in person and in the pictures. There are no dents or known past body work. Up close, you may see a couple very small imperfections (drivers seat has a 2 inch tear in the traditional spot) but they are hardly noticable and certainly expected for a driver quality car of this vintage. I have had the car for many years and converted the european single lights to the classic quad lights when I first got it. That was due to my personal preference as I do not like the yellowing of the plastic on the european style.
Car started its life in Beverly Hills and then came to the Northwest in later years. To be clear, this is my car, and I took care of it. I am happy to discuss the car history and ideosyncracies with a serious buyer before purchase. It is a Jaguar. Any buyer of an older Jaguar should be able to perform day to day repairs on your own and enjoy it. I do, and have restored and driven British cars for over 35 years. I am convinced that the 95-96 model years are those that saw perfected the XJS technology.
Note: Chrome rims look great, but up close some of the chrome is flaking (tried to capture in picture), the drivers seat had the rip mentioned and a brake light on the dash is being looked at. All gauges read fine. A/C has never been used as I live in N.W. and it will need service if you want it. The owners manual and many of the receipts through the years kept.
This is car that will make you smile for years to come. It is not a showroom car, but a beautiful driver with 160,00 miles (under 7000 miles per year!). A clean title in hand.
