Few cars survive as long as Jaguar's venerable XJS, and even fewer look this good throughout their lives. This long, low, and wide 1995 XJS convertible proves that a great design is timeless. Even 20+ years after it came off the ship from England, exceptional maintenance means this still looks like it should cost tens of thousands of dollars more than it does.
This two-owner XJS was driven like a proper Jag should, but its condition tells us there was a lot of loving garage-kept care.
Care is also the first idea that comes to mind when looking at the interior. It's obvious no one left the roof down long enough to let the sun fade the British luxury within. The leather seats show no tears or marks, just the signs of past people enjoying the drive. Jaguars are one of the finest at blending old-world craftsmanship and top-grade materials. You see it on the real wood dash and center console. When you slip behind the wheel, you get big, bright gauges, and the gear shift feels substantial in your hand. As expected from a car of this caliber there are plenty of desirable features, including a power folding roof, power windows, power locks, cruise control, driver airbag, tilt/telescopic steering column, and power seats. This one also has heated seats and ice-cold air conditioning. So you can enjoy top-down motoring no matter if it's a crisp fall afternoon, or a hot summer night.
What really will attract you to this Jag is the feeling you get on the open road. The XJS runs on a fully independent suspension that has been built to balance luxury cruising with spirited driving. This is reinforced by power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and grippy Pirelli tires.
This is the best from Jaguar, and it comes with maintenance records and the original owner's manual. It's time to demand the finest from life even if you only have to pay a pittance.
