This 1994 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in Glacier White over Barley leather and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six mated to a factory-equipped five-speed manual transmission, making it one of 56 US-market XJS convertibles reported to have been built with this powertrain combination for 1994. The original owner in Maryland retained the car until 2018, and the selling dealer acquired it later that year and relocated it to Texas. Features include a power-operated convertible top, four-wheel disc brakes and ABS, a limited-slip differential, power-adjustable front seats, wood trim, a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, and more. This XJS shows 48k miles and is offered with its window sticker, factory manuals and literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.

The exterior is finished in Glacier White (NDP), and the selling dealer notes that the car was repainted under prior ownership. The power-operated beige convertible top was reportedly replaced in 2018, features a heated glass rear window, can be seen in operation in this video, and also includes a matching boot cover. Other features include chrome-accented trim, power mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets.

Factory 16″ alloy wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires showing 2017 date codes.

The Barley leather-upholstered interior includes power-adjustable front seats and wood trim on the dash, doors, and center stack. Amenities include cruise control, a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, an onboard computer, climate control, and power windows and locks.

The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel fronts a wood-trimmed instrument cluster that includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 48k miles, approximately 300 of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The 4.0-liter AJ6 inline-six sends power through a five-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. The A/C compressor, blower motor, dryer, Schrader valves, dual-horn system, battery, air filter, and shifter bushing were reportedly replaced by another dealer in 2018, and an oil change is said to have been performed at that time.

The rear brake calipers and hoses, handbrake sleeves, and the rear suspension mounts also are said to have been replaced in 2018.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Tom Wood Jaguar of Indianapolis, Indiana along with factory features and colors. The manual transmission is listed as a $1,000 option, and the car’s retail price was $61,530. Manufacturer’s literature accompanies the car.

The April 2020 Carfax report is free of accidents and other issues, and it includes entries for registration, service, and emissions testing in Maryland and Texas over two registered owners.

Ebay item 7/20/20

www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Jaguar-XJS/324203954259

Opening bid $17,650 reserve not met 9 days left in auction, seller jpfrazier4211 buy it now price $33,500, car now said to be in Lebanon, Tennessee, 48k miles.

EXTREMELY RARE and sought after FACTORY 5 SPEED 4.0 6 cyl XJS CONVERTIBLE.

This example scored 999.6 out of 1000 at the April Jaguar of North America Concours D'Elegance, this is an exceptional piece.

The original owner passed several years ago,it was left sitting. The family chose to sell after it was given to a Jaguar specialist to sort and get the car in good running order.Car lived in Florida, hence the exceptional undercarriage condition.

The car comes with the aforementioned score sheet, award, original window sticker, clean Carfax, books, manuals, and tools as well as top boot. I am a 40 plus year purveyor, collector, and driver of Jaguar cars. My first impression upon driving this example was that the 5 speed gearbox married to the 4.0 6 cyl engine heightened the Jaguar experience. One can really feel the Jaguar heritage when driving the 5 speed.I love the 6 cyl XJS but the 5 speed gear box is a total game changer. The manual puts the fun back into the Jaguar driving experience.

This car is stunning in every way, both cosmetically and mechanically, is very collectible and should go into a collection,it is rare and exceptional.
