1994 Jaguar XJS 4.0 coupe with 72,600 miles. The Burgundy coupe is rare and hard to find. Everything works and the car drives beautifully. Recent service includes shocks, fuel system flush, fuel filter and spark plugs. This has been my everyday driver for the past year. This head-turning XJS will make a great additional to a collection, or works great as a daily driver.

Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

This 1994 Jaguar XJS coupe is finished in Flamenco over a Barley leather interior and power is provided by a 4.0L inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The car was acquired in 2017 by the seller, who has added approximately 6k of the just over 74k miles shown. Work during the seller’s ownership reportedly included a repaint of the front fascia, new shocks, a reupholstered headliner, and a fuel injection system cleaning. This XJS coupe is now offered in Maryland with factory books and manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The exterior is finished in Flamenco (PDT) with chrome trim, smoked taillight lenses, and dual exhaust pipes. The seller states the roof was refinished under previous ownership, and the front fascia was repainted to correct cosmetic blemishes. The paintwork is shown up close and the provided Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage.

Factory alloys are replaced by 15″ ARE wheels that are wrapped in Pirelli P600 tires. The seller reports new shocks were fitted within the last year.

The interior is trimmed in Barley leather (AFW), and burl wood trim adorns the door panels, center console, and dashboard. Interior equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows, seats, mirrors, and locks. An AM/FM/cassette stereo is also connected to a trunk-mounted CD player. The seller notes the headliner was reupholstered in November 2018.

An airbag steering wheel fronts instrumentation that includes Smiths gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage along with a six-digit odometer showing approximately 74k miles.

The 4.0L AJ6 inline-six was factory-rated at 225 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Service in November 2018 reportedly included a fuel injection system cleaning.

The October 2019 Carfax report shows no accidents or additional issues along with events in California, Oregon, Arkansas, Nevada, Alaska, Montana, and Maryland.

Ebay item 3/11/21

www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Jaguar-XJS/164752631383

Classified ad price $26,000 car now said to be in Alpharetta, Georgia, 75k miles, seller gateway-classic-cars

Seller's description:

Gateway Classic Cars is honored present this beautiful 1994 Jaguar XJS! This long, low, and wide 1994 Jaguar XJS coupe proves that a great design is timeless. Even 25+ years after it came off the ship from England, a well-respected life means this still looks like it should cost thousands $$$$ more than it does. The Burgundy paint still retains a terrific factory shine - a sign that this Jaguar has been treated with respect for the last 26 years. In fact, averaging only 2,800 miles annually means this is a special occasions kind of car.

Jaguars are one of the finest at blending old-world craftsmanship and top-grade materials. You see it on the taupe leather seats and real wood dash and center console. When you slip behind the wheel, you get big gauges, and the gear shift feels substantial in your hand. As expected from a car of this caliber there are plenty of desirable features, including a power front seats, power windows, power locks, driver airbag, heated seats, an anti-theft system, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. Plus, R134a air conditioning keeps this luxury interior at your ideal comfort temperature.

By 1994, the new 4.0-liter inline-six was the engine of choice because this fuel-injected multi-valve DOHC provided this car with the most advanced and refined power plant of the series. This original motor looks great in the engine bay, like many of the legendary long Jaguar blocks before it. The motor was shared with the XJ6 of the day, and the four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive is borrowed from General Motors. This means you can maintain your levels of driving quality for decades to come without breaking the bank.
