Ebay item 7/20/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Jaguar-XJS-/232414230742
Current bid US $1,150 reserve not met 10 bids 4 days left in auction, seller nexus_trading, 42k miles.

Sellers description:
An honest car that will be a great daily driver car. I am technically the third owner. The second owner was my Mom. She gave it to me shortly before she passed. I will do my best to describe the condition of the vehicle.

The Jag has been kept completely original except for the radio (upgraded in 2014) and the burl wood shifter knob. (I have the original plastic one and will include it with the car.)

History: It's been a CA car since new. It has been garage kept until about a year or so ago. When it was moved outside I bought a really good car cover. The great thing about the car is that it only has 45,000 miles. The bad thing about it is that it only has 45,000 miles. With any performance car, it needs to be driven and my Mom and I just never had the time to put those miles on it. I put about four grand in it for service and function. All work was done by Mitchell's British Motors in Playa Del Rey, CA. They went through it for me and they performed all my Mom's service work.

Engine: It runs strong! My wife and I took it up the coast a couple of times before I stopped driving it. It's been parked for two years because I have other cars that I prefer/have to drive. It seems to have developed a power steering leak; which causes the engine to smoke until it burns off.

Paint: The paint is in good condition, given the age of the car. There is a rock chip on the driver side front fender (noted in the pictures). I believe that the passenger front fender was repainted during the first owner's possession. There is some cracking in the paint. It is only apparent in this location.

Chrome: All of it is intact and in very good condition.

Interior: The interior is in very good condition except: The clear coat on the center console is cracking and the piping on the driver seat is worn from entering and exiting.

Accessories: The spare, factory jack, owner's manual, and two keys will be included.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
