Ebay item 10/9/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-/282212618252
Car has a buy it now price of $1,900 for 6 days, seller m-barn, 86k miles.

Sellers description:
1989 Jaguar XJS, V12, 86,252 miles, automatic, Marelli ignition, dual exhaust.

Previous owner - the engine overheated and some ignition wire in the engine compartment melted. The engine overheated from a clogged catalytic converter causing the EGR plumbing to melt some wires. The car still ran but had reduced power. He parked it for two years. It sat outside during that time

I purchased it and rebuilt the wiring and replaced most of the ignition parts. The engine started three times, but would not restart after each time. One time it ran for 45 seconds and got oil pressure and had good throttle response. It hasn't started since. Now it does crank and occasionally fires. The ignition system seems to be working properly. The tank was pumped dry and new gas added.

New parts:
One coil
Ignition amplifier
Crank sensor
Flywheel sensor
Twelve fuel injectors
Fuel filter
Starter
Battery
Air temperature sensor

There is a rust spot in front of the left rear wheel well (pictured). The bottom of the core support is rusted (common problem).
There is a spot on the roof where the paint was chipped and rusted.
The floor boards and interior wheel wells are rust free (portions pictured).

The interior is in very good condition, but the dashboard is cracked. The seat upholstery is all in good condition with no tears.
The fuel and oil pressure gauges don't appear to work. The voltage gauge and low oil pressure light work. The exterior lights work. The driver's side window works intermittently. The seat heat works.

The car has to go. It has been inside for the last year.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
