Ebay item 12/8/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Jaguar-XJS-Classic-Collection/263372889828
Opening bid US $4,995, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller oldenewburyantiques_1, 43k miles.

Sellers description:
1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible Classic Collection.

Champagne with brown top and boot cover with Dove leather with Carpathian Elm wood trim.

43xxx miles

New battery and end link bushings.

Recent tune up including oil/filter, plugs/cap/rotor/wires, air filters.

Everything works.

With this said, the car is 26 years old and has some needs. They are as follows:

Top will need replacing. There are 2 slices due to age.
Idle is high...around 1100rpm. May just be a fluke thing but I suspect the idle air control valve is acting up.
Tires...although plenty of tread life, they are Goodyears and have fallen victim to time...they are cracking.
There is a minor area on the passenger rear wheel well that will need some rust repair.
The door trim on the passenger side failed towards the back of the door and peeled some paint with it. Easy job while the above is being tended to.
The drivers side rubber molding between the windows has mysteriously gone missing.
The center console wood will need attention. I have an extra one I will gladly include in good condition. The color is darker though.
The drivers side window has trouble and needs help about 3/4 of the way up. Never bothered me.
I do not have the code for the stereo.
Stereo antenna needs rubber grommet.
Oil and gas gauges are not registering. All others function as they should.
Classic Collection badge insert is missing.

So thats it. Car runs excellent. Does not get hot. Accelerates like a rocket. Shifts smoothly. Tracks straight. Brakes in a straight line. Heat blows hot, AC blows cold. Top functions as it should both up and down with no help needed. I have the matching cover. I have a clean title. It is currently registered and insured.

I have tried with great detail to describe everything I know about the car. I have owned it for about 2 years and have only driven it int he spring and summer...very limited mileage has been put on it to maintain value. It has been to a few shows in New England close to my home.

Nada low retail $8500
Hagerty Fair Condition $9500

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
