Ebay item 3/1/24
Car has a buy it now price of $13,900 for 6 days, seller sevenhillscincinnati, 69k miles
Seller's description:
Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1991 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible in fantastic condition with only 69,590 original miles. The car looks spectacular, runs great, and is an excellent driver. The Jaguar is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of red over tan leather interior with a black soft top. The other original books and manuals are still with the car. The low original mileage is also verified not only by the condition of the car, but also by the clear Ohio title showing the mileage as "Actual."
We have recently put about 30 miles on this XJS. During that time the car was completely reliable, had no issues at all, and was a true pleasure to drive.
There is a copy of the AutoCheck report in this ad. The report is totally clean, shows no accident history, and verifies the low mileage. Many in the classic car industry are saying that this body style XJS is the next classic generation of Jaguar that is starting going up in value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information in this ad to get a true sense of how clean and nice this XJS Convertible really is.
As a side note, this Jaguar is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase.
Exterior
The red exterior is in excellent driver condition. Both doors open and shut nicely. The alloy wheels are in great shape with a nice appearance and no major curb rash. The Michelin tires have plenty of tread left and are sized 235/60R15. There are no major imperfections there are some very small blemishes around the car and some cloudiness that are too faint so show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five feet or ten away. This Jaguar has no rust issues, this XJS Convertible is very clean underneath.
Interior
The tan leather interior of the XJS Convertible looks absolutely fantastic. All of the gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks, fading, or sun fading. This car has never been smoked in; there is no aroma of cigarettes what so ever and no burn marks. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no holes or split seams. The seat is not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out, just a small amount of wear there. The carpet also looks great with no stains, rips, or holes. The black convertible soft-top is in good condition overall with no frayed edges, but one small cut on the left side. The top boot is included with the car. The original door panels are in nice shape overall and both door pulls are solid. The car has a more modern radio, but the original radio is also included. There is some cracking in the woodgrain inside. The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed with the original full size matching rim.
Jaguar interiors from this era are not know to wear well over time, especially for a convertible, and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Jaguar has received throughout its life and another great verification of the low original mileage.
Mechanical
The twelve-cylinder engine starts right away every time and idles smooth. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it runs great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine bay is clean, nicely detailed.
There are no "check engine" lights that stay on. The horn works as do the fog lights, headlights, brights, turn signals, interior lights, indicators, dash gauges lights, wipers, rear window defroster, power windows, and power locks. The power convertible top works properly going down. Going up the top will get most of the way, but then needs a hand at the end of the cycle. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater and a/c works, but only on high and the a/c does not blow cold. We cannot get the heated seats to go on. The radio works, but we cannot get the power antenna to go up. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.
Overall, this 1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible is in excellent condition and is a true bargain at our asking price.
