This 1991 Jaguar XJS coupe is a limited-edition Rouge Collection model finished in Signal Red over a Magnolia leather with red piping. Power is provided by by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes 15″ BBS wheels with red accents, four-wheel disc brakes, fog lights, burl wood trim, heated front seats, and an aftermarket Sony CD stereo. The car spent time in Wisconsin and Iowa before it was acquired by the current owner in 1997 and moved to Minnesota. Now showing 65k miles, this XJS is offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its owner with service records since 1997, a Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title in the owner’s name.
The seller notes that the body was refinished in Signal Red (CFC) under previous ownership. Equipment includes fog lights and dual exhaust outlets along with chrome bumpers, mirror housings, and trim. The Carfax report notes “fire damage reported in the passenger area due to electrical overload” in June 1991 as well as an accident in May 1998 that caused “moderate damage.” Rust bubbling on the lower right-rear wheel arch.
Red-accented 15” basketweave BBS wheels were specific to the Rouge Collection and are wrapped in 235/60 Goodyear Eagle GTII tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The seats and door panels are upholstered in Magnolia leather with red piping, and the console and contrasting black dash are accented with burl wood trim. Equipment includes heated front seats, air conditioning, power accessories, and an onboard computer. The seller states that the radio function of the aftermarket Sony CD stereo does not work.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 65k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was serviced in April 2021 in preparation for the sale.
Portions of the exhaust system are said to have been replaced under current ownership, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
