Lot #159213
This 1990 Jaguar XJ-S V12 coupe is one of a limited number of Classic Collection examples produced, and it was first purchased by the seller’s father in 2001 following registration history in California. Showing 20k miles, it is finished in Signal Red over beige leather upholstery and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 17″ aftermarket wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Acquired by the seller in 2013, this XJ-S V12 coupe is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and is equipped with quad headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, a gold-plated hood ornament and badging, Classic Collection badging, and dual exhaust outlets. An April 2019 entry on the Carfax report lists “minor damage” to the front of the car.
Bright 17″ aftermarket multi-piece wheels are mounted with Toyo tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel anti-lock discs.
The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in beige leather with red piping, and burl wood veneer accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, a driver-side airbag, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning system does not work.
The wood- and leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was last performed in 2012.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes a transmission fluid leak.
