Ebay item 12/15/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Jaguar-XJS/114013866823
Current bid: $1,025 reserve not met 4 bids 8 days left in auction, seller aacamuseum, 100k miles.

Seller's description:
This 1991 XJS Two-Door Coupe has been part of the Museum’s collection for several years, during which time it has been displayed in a variety of settings. It is finished in its factory color of Glacier White with a tan leather interior. It is complete and in good overall condition. The body is straight and has no major dents, visible rust or other easily discernible flaws. There are small nicks and chips throughout the body as you would expect on a car of this age and mileage. The interior features tan leather upholstery front and rear that shows the expected age lines but is intact with no open seams or cracks. The matching headliner is also nice. The only easily noticeable interior defects is the delaminating and cracked faux finish on the car’s center console. Noted installed equipment includes speed control, factory AM/FM cassette stereo system and power windows and mirrors. The original owner’s manual and green factory envelope cover are in the glove compartment. The engine compartment appears to be in stock condition and shows no excessive dirt or visible leaks. The trunk area is also clean and includes the factory spare wheel/tire and jacking tools along with a newly-installed Interstate battery. The car is well within the mileage requirements of its most recent oil change and had considerable work done to it prior to its donation several years ago. The BF Goodrich T/A radials have almost all of their tread remaining. The car has a rather thick file of maintenance receipts performed by its last private owner. This car has spent the last several years on static display. It starts, stops and runs. Like any vehicle coming off static display, it will need some work and it is recommended that it be gone over before being put into service.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
