This 1991 Jaguar XJS coupe is finished in Signal Red over a Doeskin leather interior and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ basketweave wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, fog lights, burl wood trim, heated seats, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The car was first registered in Texas and later spent time in Arizona, New York, and North Carolina before being acquired by the seller in 2019. Service in January 2021 consisted of rebuilding the steering rack and replacing the air-conditioning compressor and receiver dryer, ABS accumulator ball, power steering hoses, and harmonic balancer. Now showing 70k miles, this XJS is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The seller states that the body was refinished in Signal Red (CFC) under previous ownership. Equipment includes fog lights and tinted windows, as well as chrome bumpers, mirror housings, and trim. Rust bubbles on the rear wheel arches are noted.
Factory 15” basketweave wheels are finished in silver and wear Firestone Firehawk tires that the seller states should be replaced due to age. The steering rack was rebuilt in January 2021. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and a new ABS-system accumulator ball has been installed.
The cabin is upholstered in Doeskin leather with matching door panels and a contrasting black dashboard. Equipment includes heated front seats with red piping, burl wood trim, air conditioning, power accessories, and a factory AM/FM cassette stereo. In January 2021, the air conditioning system was fitted with a new compressor and receiver dryer. The seller notes that the cruise control components have been removed and that the system is inoperable.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 70k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 engine was factory-rated at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The harmonic balancer and power steering hoses were replaced by Sachs Automotive of Jacksonville, Florida, in January 2021, and additional service records are included.
