Ebay item 3/18/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-Base-Coupe-2-Door-1995-jaguar-xjs-base-coupe-2-door- ...
Sellers description:
I had 2 1995 Jaguar xjs coupes at one time. 1 1995 jaguar xjs coupe with the 6 cylinder and this one. I have not owned this car for long. Please do not ask me why I am selling. An actual british man was ready to sell before he moved back to Britain so I took it off his hands.
Do I need to sell? No. I just recently purchased a 2000 jaguar xkr and I am ready to part with this one. I am in the market for a 2001 or 2002 aston martin db7. I am a bachelor. No kids. No wife. I like to take cars in, take really good care of them and sell them. I never make money on any one of them.
I do love jaguars. This one especially. In 1995 they made there were only 51 coupes with the v12 made. The rest were the aj16 6 cylinder cars. In 1996 all but one were convertibles with the 6 cylinder. This isn't the problematic v12 in the 80's jaguars, this is the 6.0 liter monster that has given me no problems.
I had my mechanic give it a run down. ZERO leaks. ZERO problems. It was owned by a businessman that had a long drive to work and back.
It is in great shape for being 20 years old already and. The common tiny scrapes on the bottom air dam is there, a few rock chips. Nothing serious. $300-$500 fix at most.
I wasn't sure about the blue with cream interior when I bought it but it grew on me quick! Especially with the gold accents. It's a bit Miami vice cheesy but when you are driving a V12 6.0 liter coupe around with flying buttresses behind your ears and you are going 30, stomp on it and at 85 in a blink of an eye who cares?
