Car to be at auction 6/16
www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1995-JAGUAR-XJS-195860

Auction description:
VIN SAJNX5745SC221359
Exterior Color FLAMENCO RED
Interior Color COFFEE
Cylinders 6
Engine Size 4.0 L
Transmission 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC
Lot #5

Original California car, one of 364 4.0-liter coupes imported into the U.S., according to "Jaguar XJS, A Collector's Guide" by Paul Skilleter. It has an all-original drivetrain and paint. The sunroof was installed by ASC in California. This great driver has only 52,000 actual miles (the title reads exempt). This is a stunning example of an XJS coupe with the finest AJ16 version of the 4.0-liter straight-6-cylinder DOHC engine that boasts 237hp and a top speed of 147 mph. This XJS has newer tires, battery and urethane steering-rack bushings. 1995 was the last year coupes were available, and this example shows very little wear for its age and mileage. It has an elegant appearance. The original Flamenco Red Metallic still shines and the leather interior is free of rips or tears. The beautiful, real wood interior trim is a site to behold. All equipment operates as intended, including the ASC tilt/retracting sunroof that was added in California. The car is also equipped with a Jaguar 6-CD changer mounted in the trunk. The vehicle comes with two sets of keys with remotes and the factory owner's manual, as well as other documentation from the car's history. It has a clear CARFAX, no issues.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
