This 1993 Jaguar XJR-S is #67 of 100 built by JaguarSport for the US market, 50 of which were convertibles. JaguarSport was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and each XJR-S was hand-built with a TWR-modified 6.0-liter V12 alongside the XJ220 supercar. This example was acquired by the seller in March 2004, and service performed in 2019 included installation of a new heater hose, ignition components, and oxygen sensors as well as rebuilt front brake calipers. A fuel injector service and oil change were also carried out. This XJR-S shows 114k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, records from 1995 to present, a service spreadsheet, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features an XJR-S-specific aero kit including a rear spoiler, color-keyed bumper covers with black impact pads, headlight washers, tinted taillamps, and black and chrome trim. Scraping and paint loss on the underside of the front spoiler can be seen. No accidents or other damage is noted in the recent Carfax report.

The tan soft top is said to have been replaced in 2009 and can be seen both raised and lowered. A matching top boot is included in the sale. Factory 16″ Speedline wheels wear Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position tires. Rebuilt front brake calipers were installed in May 2019.

The cabin is trimmed in Cream leather (NDR) with matching carpets and walnut sapwood accents on the dash, doors, and center console. Features include power windows and locks, cruise control, a factory cassette stereo, and an automatic climate control system with an air conditioner which is said to work intermittently. A silver placard from the jeweler Asprey is affixed to the center console and denotes this example as #67 produced for the 1993 model year.

Instrumentation carries the JaguarSport logo and includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and a quartet of auxiliary gauges. Just over 114k miles are shown on the six-digit odometer, approximately 76k of which have been added by the seller over 16 years.

The 6.0-liter V12 was hand-built by JaguarSport with a modified crankshaft, forged pistons, a Zytek engine management system, and other changes from the standard version. Power was rated at 334 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in 2019 included replacement of the distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires, oxygen sensors, and a heater hose as well as a compression check, rebuilds of the 12 fuel injectors, an injection wiring harness repair, and an oil change.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a General Motors-sourced three-speed automatic transmission which was modified with a recalibrated valve body by JaguarSport for faster shift times. A leaking transmission vacuum modulator was repaired in October 2019. A service spreadsheet compiled by the seller is provided in the gallery.

The December 2019 Carfax report shows history in Illinois, Nebraska, and Tennessee and lists no accidents or other damage from January 1994 to January 2018. Service records from 1995 to present.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
