Car at auction 3/26:

www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx&stypeid=0&kw=Jaguar&cid=0&smode=0&aid=68372&lid=5757459

Auction description:

Lloyds Auctions, Classic, Muscle & Barn Finds

1985 Jaguar XJSC Cabriolet two-door finished in White with a Black soft top. Rear-wheel drive configuration powered by a 5.3-litre V12 petrol engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Odometer indicating 166,624 kilometres. Seating for four occupants. This one was delivered new to Western Australia via JRA Limited and has spent its entire life in WA.

The current owner has held the car for approximately 21 years and presents it in factory original condition. The 5.3-litre V12 HE engine is unmodified and correct, the interior retains its original cream leather and burr walnut veneer, and all four correct Jaguar lattice alloy wheels are present. The original owner's handbooks, Mastercare service booklet, and comprehensive dealer-stamped service records from 1989 through to the late 1990s are included, covering servicing at Alf Barbagallo Jaguar, Roadbend Jaguar, Oxford Allenby Service, and Franzone Jaguar. The automatic transmission was professionally rebuilt at Roadbend Jaguar in April 1996 at 90,586 kilometres and is documented in the service records.

Cosmetic condition is honest and consistent with the age and kilometres. The white paint presents well overall with the noted exceptions of rust bubbling along the lower driver door edge, some paint deterioration near the left front headlight surround, and minor stone chips on the front wings. The dashboard has a crack on the passenger side, which is a well-known characteristic of XJS and XJSC models of this era. The steering wheel has been replaced with an aftermarket MOMO unit. The car is on current WA registration through to May 2026 and is supplied with a car cover, convertible wheel rims, and the full soft top component kit. This is a genuine collector car offered with realistic expectations.

Features and Work Completed (Vendor Advises):

* Power windows

* Leather interior (original cream/biscuit, trim code AEE)

* Central locking

* CD player / aftermarket head unit

* Log books and owner's manual

* Immobiliser fitted

* Convertible wheel rims included

* Full soft top component kit with storage bags

* Transmission rebuilt at Roadbend Jaguar (April 1996 at 90,586km)

* Modern replacement battery

* Aftermarket MOMO steering wheel (not original)

* Aftermarket alarm with remote

Condition Notes (Vendor Advises):

* Slight oil leak

* Play in top control arm bushes

* Minor paint imperfections including stone chips

* Minor tear in driver seat

* Crack in dashboard (passenger side)

* Rust bubbling on lower driver door edge

* Paint deterioration near left front headlight surround

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
