Car was at auction in 2013
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-08-31/car/1986-jaguar-xjs-silk-cut-raci ...

Auction description:
Chassis Number SAJJNAEC7CC138460
Estimate £7,000 - £9,000

This is a race prepared XJS in Jaguar's racing Silk Cut livery. The AJ6 3.6 litre engine has been bored out, rebuilt with race camshafts fitted; this high performance unit is fitted to a quick change gearbox. The car has been lightened and strengthened with the necessary roll cage fitted. The bonnet and boot of the car are quick release and spare wheels and tyres are supplied. Whilst it is a while since she has seen a circuit, this XJS we are advised, is exceptionally quick and would be competitive in its class. Starting on the button and sounding beautiful this XJS is definitely not for the faint hearted!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
