*Rare early example
*Reported very good bodywork
*Good history file
An earlier example of the XJ-S and one that is vendor-reported to have very good body, paintwork and wheels/tyres. The interior throughout is also very good, our vendor says. The engine is rated as very good for starting, running and under-bonnet presentation and the running gear is said to be good. Recently benefitting from a new air-conditioning pump and system overhaul and a new stainless steel exhaust system.
An opportunity to purchase a very original example of a pre-HE XJS in eye-catching period colour with good history and coming with original service books and folders.

The Jaguar XJS was introduced in 1975 and became a mainstay on British roads enjoying a long production run until 1996
Powered by the 285bhp, 5.3-litre V12, mated to a 3-speed TH400 automatic gearbox, the XJS was capable of 0-60 in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 143mph when new
The 1979 example offered here is smartly presented in Moroccan Bronze with a black leather interior, period Rostyle wheels and displayed just 81,000 miles at the time of cataloguing
The owner informs us that the XJS benefitted from an air conditioning system overhaul including a air conditioning pump and a new stainless steel exhaust system in 2020
We are also reliably informed that included in the history file are multiple invoices as well as the original service books
Showing two former keepers, evidence suggests that this Jaguar XJS remained with its original owner until 2015 after over 36 years of ownership
This early XJS, offered in the models earliest and most true to concept Pre-HE form, still offers effortless performance and exceptional long-distance comfort
