Jaguar Sport was formed in May 1988, owned 50/50 by Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw's TWR group. The original XJR-S was based on the modified factory approved TWR V12 coupe which TWR had been marketing along side their XJ12 saloon conversions since 1983.
Offered here is number 76 of the initial 100. The car was registered to the owners company and then to himself, privately and was extensively overhauled in 2005/2006 by Fullbridge Restoration of Maldon. This work included the replacement of the porous fuel; tank, new front wings, new door skins and much more in addition to the full repaint when structural works were completed.
The car is offered in running condition, having been stored since 2007, which is when it was last on the road. The vendor states that the car has been dry stored but has been driven on private land, occasionally. It is said to only require attention to the hand brake and washers to obtain an MoT but the car is presented without a current certificate.
Guide Price: £1000 to £3000
