Sellers description:
This 1985 Jaguar XJS is an original mile car that has many virtues as well as some short comings. To begin with the body and undercarriage are in excellent condition. The only rust I could find is on the rear deck lid. This is an odd place and I would think not debilitating. The interior is decent although the driver's seat could stand to have the bottom cushion repaded. I have barley driven this Jag since I purchased it so there is not much I can confirm. I will say the V12 runs great and has no ill sounding sounds or blue smoke. There has been a considerable amount of work done to this XJS since 2003. The front brakes are rebuilt, new upper and lower ball joints, new front shocks and new tires at 86000. It has a new headliner, many engine gaskets and cooling system upgrades. The fuel injection nozzles have all been rebuilt. The exhaust was replaced from the cats back. There is a slight exhaust leak when cold so a new gasket will be needed or an adjustment. Other faults are the emergency brake light will not go out and the cruise control does not work. I do not place much value on this Jaguar so the reserve is at rock bottom. I will include an inch thick file of parts purchased for this Jaguar, so please do not think that it is purely a clapped out cow.
