This 1986 Jaguar XJ-S V12 remained registered in Washington until the seller’s purchase in 2020, and it now shows 51k miles. Finished in Claret over Biscuit leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, silver-finished 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels, a cassette stereo, cruise control, a wood-rimmed MOMO steering wheel, and R134a-based air conditioning. Work completed under current ownership has included replacing the spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, shocks, upper ball joints, and climate control amplifier. This XJ-S V12 is offered with service records, a spare set of wheels, a car cover, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and Connecticut registration.
The car is finished in Claret and features quad SNG Barratt headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The antenna mast was replaced in 2024, and paint chips and blemishes are noted.
Silver-finished 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The wheel bearings were adjusted and the upper ball joints and shocks were replaced under current ownership.
The cabin features manually adjustable seats upholstered in Biscuit leather along with burl wood veneer accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, cruise control, and R134a-based air conditioning. The headliner was recovered in 2022, and the climate control amplifier was replaced in 2024.
The wood-rimmed MOMO steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 51k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, cooling fan, and fuel hoses were replaced in 2022, and the thermostats were replaced when the coolant was changed in 2024. The seller notes oil seepage around the valve covers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The catalytic converters have been removed.
A spare set of wheels is included in the sale.
