West Coast Classics are proud to present an exceptional example of this classic and rare original southern California 1986 Jaguar XJS 5.3L V12 coupe with 81K original miles! Gorgeous and very striking and desirable color combination of original factory 'Sovereign Gold Metallic' color paint with chrome spinner wire wheels and original doeskin leather interior! The Coupe model is very rare and desirable and this particular car must be seen to be truly appreciated!
This is the rare 5.3L 326 CID V12 model sold with original factory options including: electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition system, power 4 anti-lock wheel disc brakes, power rack & pinion steering, leather-bound tilt steering wheel with airbag, power tinted windows, heated rear window, power door locks, automatic temperature control, air conditioning, cruise control, trip computer, leather faced seats and trim, heated sport seats, power lumbar support, burled walnut facia and trim, deep pile carpet, 4 speaker 80W AM/FM Cassette Player & power antenna, Halogen foglamps/headlights, heated power mirrors, dual coach stripes, chrome spoke alloy wheels and heated windshield washer.
Obviously always garaged with absolutely no rust and no accidents and a clean CARFAX report, owned by only obviously very careful and mature southern California owner/drivers since new. Powered by one of the finest, race proven engines built by Jaguar, the smooth 5,344 c.c. V12 engine was a worthy successor to the XK series of Jaguar sports cars dating from the late 1940's and this particular engine is extremely strong and smooth running with excellent oil pressure and which does not burn or leak oil. The temperature always remains cool and the car drives exactly like a V12 Jaguar with such low miles should!
This is one very fine daily driving example of this classic and increasingly desirable and collectible rare V12 Jaguar, a truly luxurious smooth V12 ride and one of the last beautiful hand built cars from Jaguar's legendary Browns Lane, Coventry, England plant and a car that cost almost $36K new in 1986 (over $90K in todays money!) - this is one of the last classically beautiful design built by Jaguar in their long and famous history of classic lines - with these particular 2 door sports coupe models becoming harder to find in such great all original condition.

This 1986 Jaguar XJ-S V12 has remained registered in Washington and California since new, and it was purchased in 2022 by the seller, who has since added ~26k miles. Powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in Antelope over Buckskin leather upholstery. Features include a limited-slip differential, 15″ cross-spoke wheels, power-adjustable seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJ-S V12 is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Antelope (AFM) and features quad headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. There are paint chips on the hood edges and paint blemishes around the fuel door hinges.
Chrome-finished 15″ cross-spoke wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra tires. Bilstein dampers are installed up front, and braking is provided by four-wheel discs. The seller states that the steering rack was replaced in 2022 and the brake booster was replaced in 2025.
The power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Buckskin leather, and burl wood veneer accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior amenities include a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. A seam is separating in the rear seats, and the rear defroster does not work.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 108k miles, approximately 26k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes that the fuel level gauge needle bounces in the upper range, but is otherwise functional.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The radiator was serviced and fitted with an electric auxiliary fan, the air conditioning was converted to R134a refrigerant, and the throttle position sensor was replaced, per the seller. The fuel hoses and fuel pump are said to have been replaced in 2022 and 2026, respectively.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
