I’m moving and can’t take her with me. My loose is your gain. This 86 XJS is in very good condition and runs like her name sake. On several occasions recently I’ve run her up to the point where your heart races and you can really appreciate a Jags handling and stability with no noted problems. Now for the good, the bad and the ugly. The car is in really good shape for her age. The exterior is smooth and she still has her original paint which is in pretty good shape. There is an area on the passenger side rear quarter panel where it looks like something dripped on the paint which is still in tact but the finish was damaged (see pictures). The tires, glass and chrome are in fine shape. As for the interior, the leather seats have a few minor tears; all located in the hinged areas. The headliner does have a few bubbles while the carpet is in very good condition. The engine has been inspected by one of the best shops in southern California and she passed with flying colors. Both of the standard hose kits have been replaced and the only known issue is a minor leak in the steering system. My mechanic said that it isn’t bad enough to warrant the cost of repair. She passed the California smog test without a problem in September. Be aware, this is a 21 year old car that has been owned by several people but she is a gas to drive and she still turns heads. This vehicle is sold in “as is” condition with no warranties expressed or implied.
