Ebay item 7/21/16 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-Convertible-/262536297964
Car has a buy it now price of $9,950 for 6 days. Seller horatiofs1, 35k miles.
Sellers description:
Bought new in Newport Beach, California, this 1993 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet has lived its whole life in Southern California, remaining with its first owner until just recently.
The car is incredibly original and benefits from all of its factory books and even the cassette instruction tapes supplied by Jaguar from new, there is even the letter from the buyer in 1992 placing the order with the Jaguar dealer, Albedi Motors in Vallejo, California, there is also a letter confirming the order, signed by Larry Albeti and a copy of the check used for the deposit. There are copies of Smog certificates plus oil changes and various work throughout its life.
It is finished in one of the nicest color combinations available on an XJS, light metallic blue with doeskin interior, the paint appears to be totally original and shines well. There are some chips and scratches most notably on the left rear quarter above the wheel arch area where it seems that the Jaguar was stored in a garage and a door opened on it several times leaving chips, there are other small chips and scratches but nothing major. The front spoiler is damaged at one side where it looks as though someone has run over a parking bump The body is absolutely free of all dents though, every panel is laser straight.
The interior too is all original, carpets are perfect, dashboard is lovely, instruments clear and bright, the drivers seat has a split in the lower base, there is also wear on the outer bolster.
Trunk is complete with all original carpeting, unused original spare wheel, jack and toolkit.
Engine compartment is very clean and looks as new, all of the factory stickers appear to be there and the motor shines beautifully Just before I bought the Jaguar the oil was changed and the AC re gassed, it operates perfectly, the engine runs with perfect oil pressure, makes no smoke or no undue noises, gears shift easily and the car drives very well.
Soft top works perfectly, windows all go up and down as they should, cruise control works, the onboard computer works showing mileage covered, MPG, Range etc, its display is clear and bright
I bought this car and have found that insurance and running costs are too high for me, this is why I am selling it.
You are welcome to visit me and check the car over, it is in lovely condition and I am sure that you'd be happy with it, it is a lot of car for the summer.
