Ebay item 6/3/21www.ebay.com/itm/194177682448
Car has a buy it now price of $2,475 for 29 days, seller pinkflamingofeathers, 61k miles.
Seller's description:
Classic 1990 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE PROJECT 61K Miles
Needs engine work. I purchased this car with the intent of replacing the engine and getting it back on the road, but I do not have the time or space, so reluctantly I’ve decided to move it on. Great car to fix up and enjoy or to flip for a profit.
These cars are getting harder to find and appreciating in value every day. Fixed up this car would go for $15K to $30K with this low mileage. Clean Connecticut Title in hand
Features:
Glacier White exterior with dark blue soft top, Isis Blue Leather interior, 5.3L V-12 engine, Automatic transmission, Air Conditioning, Power windows, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Alloy wheels, Alpine AM/FM Stereo/CD player
The good:
Completely original paint and body almost entirely rust free (small section at the passenger side rocker inside the rear wheel arch, some light surface on rocker panels, see pictures). Otherwise, super straight original bodywork. Paint still shines! Excellent interior.Leather seats are in excellent condition with minimum wear (minor rub on drivers seat bolster) Dashboard is in very good condition. Excellent alloy wheels (one has some minor scratches). Underbody is sound with the typical slight surface rust.
The bad:
Needs engine rebuild or replacement. Top has 1 rip on passenger side (currently sealed with tape). Wood trim on the center console shows some cracking that’s typical on these cars. Needs tires. No battery.
Note that some parts were removed by the previous owner while prepping for an engine swap and are MIA (exhaust between engine and rear mufflers, fan, some linkages, please see pictures). But for someone who has an engine or donor car or wants to drop in a small block GM V-8 this car would be perfect.
