1995 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE. #SAJNX2740SC2744SC197115. In 1975, Jaguar introduced an entirely new car, the “XJS”, available originally in coupe form and later in a beautiful convertible configuration. The early cars were only available with a 12-cylinder engine, but, in 1988, an entirely new and fabulous 4-litre, 24 valve, 6-cylinder engine was introduced and was perfectly mated to the XJS. With the standard 4-speed automatic transmission and traction control, the car had a top speed of 146 miles per hour with smooth and quick acceleration. Stopping power was also excellent – 4-wheel power ABS brakes with vented discs to the front and standard discs to the rear. In 1992, the “Series III” model was introduced with subtle and beautiful styling changes and mechanical and safety upgrades. Our Series III car was purchased new by an Ohio man who kept the car for 13 years and 9 months before selling it, then with @55,000 miles, to a close friend and neighbor who has kept the car another 13 years and 10 months before selling it to us. The car has been regularly serviced and carefully maintained by both owners and is completely original and excellent throughout. Finished in gorgeous Flamenco Red Metallic with beautiful cream leather with polished walnut interior trim, matching convertible top boot, black convertible top and 16” factory alloy wheels. It is accompanied by original purchase documents, original manuals, service records, etc., and is being serviced in our shop prior to delivery. Beautiful and superb mechanically. 76,340 miles.
