Lot #267823

This 1994 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible was purchased by the current owner in 2013 and shows 55k miles. Powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in black over beige leather. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a black soft top, 15″ basketweave alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJS convertible is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in black and features a black soft top as well as fog lights, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. The soft top requires assistance to close, and the seller notes paint chips on the door edges, along with scratches and dings around the body.

The 15″ basketweave alloy wheels are mounted with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Bilstein front shocks were installed in 2024.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear bucket seats upholstered in beige leather. Interior amenities include a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The passenger sun visor clip is broken, the air conditioning does not blow cold, and there is a crack in the center console trim.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 219 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. A differential fluid leak was repaired in 2024, per the seller.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
