This 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 Celebration Edition convertible shows 78k miles and is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It has been refinished in Sapphire Blue over Cream leather, and it is equipped with 16″ chrome wheels, Bilstein shocks, a blue soft top, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, a tan convertible top boot, dual exhaust outlets, power-adjustable front sport seats, woodgrain trim, a cassette stereo, an Alpine CD changer, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Acquired by the seller in 2018, this XJS convertible is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.
The car has been refinished in Sapphire Blue and features a power-retractable blue soft top, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, bright trim, a tan convertible top boot, dual exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna. The fog lamps have been removed.
Chrome 16″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Bilstein shocks were installed in 2018, and the control arm bushings and ball joints were replaced in 2020, according to the seller.
The cabin features power-adjustable front sport seats and two rear seats upholstered in Cream leather with contrasting piping and embossed Jaguar logos. Interior amenities include woodgrain trim, a cassette stereo, an Alpine CD changer, an analog clock, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The seller notes that the front seats have been dyed and the lumbar support bladders do not hold air.
The four-spoke leather- and wood trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership. The ignition lock cylinder was rekeyed in 2025.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 237 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2024 included replacing the fuel injectors and the fuel injector rail. The spark plugs, ignition coils, camshaft cover, and oil seals were replaced in 2025, according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
