This 1995 Jaguar XJS was sold new in Southern California and spent its first three years in east San Bernardino County before being sold to its second owner in Riverside with 22k miles. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter inline-six paired to an automatic transmission and now shows 100,608 miles. The car is being offered at no reserve with 20 years of service records, factory manuals, a Carfax, and a clean California title.
To the seller’s knowledge, this XJS has not been involved in an accident. The finish is believed to be original throughout, and some age-related fading is present on the hood and deck lid. In May 2017, the braking system was inspected and new emergency brake shoes were installed.
The matching burgundy soft-top features a defrosted glass rear window.
Removable sheepskin seat covers are currently fitted, and the seller states that the factory upholstery shows wear commensurate with age. According to the seller, the cabin is completely stock down to the original stereo system.
In May 2017 the A/C system was serviced, and all other features are described to work well. The odometer shows 100,608 miles, which is corroborated by maintenance records.
When new, the 4.0-liter inline-six developed 237 horsepower at 4,700 rpm and 282 lb-ft of torque at 4,00 rpm. Mechanicals are unmodified to the seller’s knowledge and new fan belts were fitted in May 2017. The engine oil/filter were changed just prior to this auction.
Service records date back to 1998 and are depicted above. According to these receipts, the most recent California emissions test was carried out in April 2017 at 100,496 miles.
The accident-free Carfax reports two Southern California owners and one mileage inconsistency in 1997. The most recent record is from January 2003 when the odometer showed 77,340 miles.

This Rose Bronze Metallic 1995 Jaguar XJS Convertible was purchased through BaT in March 2018 and subsequently donated to America’s Packard Museum to help generate funds for the facility. The vehicle was sold new in Southern California and stayed there until moving to Ohio in 2018. Power comes from a 4.0L inline-six paired to an automatic transmission, and an engine oil change was completed in January 2019. Now showing approximately 101k miles, this Jaguar is offered with ~20 years of maintenance records, factory manuals, a clear Carfax, and a clean Ohio title. Previously noted fading on the hood and deck-lid have been refinished according to the seller. The electric-folding burgundy soft-top features a defrosted glass rear window and is also detailed inside and out. No accidents or other damage are listed on the Carfax.
This XJS features factory 16″ alloy wheels which are mounted with 225/60 Falken Ziex ZE512 tires. In May 2017 the braking system was inspected and new emergency brake shoes were installed. Inside, the leather seat upholstery shows some wear on the driver’s seat cushion as depicted above. Burl wood trim adorns the door panels, steering wheel, shifter surround, and dashboard. Interior equipment includes power front seats, cruise control, and power windows/mirrors/locks. A factory stereo system has been retained. In May 2017 the A/C system was serviced. The mechanical odometer shows 100,788 miles.
The 4.0-liter inline-six was factory rated at 237 horsepower at 4,700 rpm and 282 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine oil/filter were changed in January 2019 just prior to this auction. Service records since 1998 are organized in a binder and accompany the sale.
The accident-free Carfax reports two Southern California owners and linear odometer progression throughout the years. All proceeds from this sale go to America’s Packard Museum.
