This 1993 Jaguar XJR-S is #31 of 100 built by JaguarSport for the US market, 50 of which were convertibles. JaguarSport was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and each XJR-S was hand-built with a TWR-modified 6.0-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. This example is finished in Signal Red over beige leather and now shows 103k miles. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a power-retractable beige soft top, 16″ Speedline alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJR-S convertible is now offered by the selling dealer in Illinois at no reserve with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title.
The car is finished in Signal Red and features a power-retractable beige soft top as well as headlight washers, a Jaguar growler hood emblem, a rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, and a telescoping antenna.
The silver-finished 16″ Speedline alloy wheels are mounted with 225/50/16 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tires. The XJR-S features an upgraded suspension utilizing specially-tuned Bilstein shocks and TWR springs. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in beige leather. Interior amenities include a cassette stereo, cruise control, a digital clock, and automatic climate control.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a JaguarSport-branded 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 103k miles.
A silver placard from the jeweler Asprey is affixed to the center console and denotes this example as #31 produced for the 1993 model year.
The 6.0-liter V12 was hand-built by JaguarSport with a modified crankshaft, forged pistons, and a Zytek engine management system. Power was rated at 318 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new. The spark plugs and intake manifold gasket were replaced in December 2021, and the ignition coils were replaced in April 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission which was modified with a recalibrated valve body by JaguarSport for faster shift times.
