This 1991 Jaguar XJ-S Classic Collection convertible has remained registered in Missouri from new through the seller’s purchase in 2022, and it now shows 41k miles. It is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Signal Red over Doeskin leather upholstery. Equipment includes fog lights, a power-retractable black soft top, chrome 15″ Dayton wire-spoke wheels, adjustable sport seats, cruise control, a cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Work performed in 2024 is said to have included replacing the air conditioning compressor, drier, expansion valves, and refrigerant hoses as well as the drive belts, heater control valve, fuel filter, fuel sending unit, fuel pressure regulators, oil pressure switch, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, tires, brake components, and the fuel and coolant hoses. This XJ-S convertible is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red and features a power-retractable black soft top as well as quad headlights, fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, a black top boot cover, Classic Collection edition badging, and an aftermarket antenna.
Chrome 15″ Dayton wire-spoke wheels are mounted with 235/60 Hankook Kinergy ST tires that have 2023 date codes. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The front shocks, front brake pads, front calipers, rear brake pads, and rear brake hoses were replaced under current ownership, per the seller.
The cabin features adjustable sport seats upholstered in Doeskin leather with contrasting red piping. Birdeye Elm wood trim accents the interior, and amenities include a cassette stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. The cruise control actuator and defrost vacuum control switch were reportedly replaced in preparation for the sale.
The four-spoke leather-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 41k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 263 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that work performed under current ownership included cleaning the fuel tank and fuel injectors, changing the coolant, and replacing the air conditioning compressor, expansion valve, drier, and refrigerant hoses, as well as the drive belts, heater control valve, fuel filter, fuel sending unit, fuel pressure regulators, oil pressure switch, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and the fuel and coolant hoses.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
