Car was at auction in 2012

Auction description;
The Spring Sale
1988 Jaguar XJR-S Celebration #072
Lot No.: 112
Registration: F531 BCW
Chassis Number: SAJJSAEW3BA155006
Engine Number: 8S062670HA
CC: 5345cc
Year of Manufacture: 1988
Sold for (£): Unsold
From 1988, a special XJR-S version of the V12 5.3-litre car was produced by JaguarSport, a separate company owned 50:50 by Jaguar and TWR. This car had a distinctive body kit, special alloy wheels and suspension and handling improvements. The first 100 of these cars were termed "Celebration Le Mans" to commemorate Jaguar's 1988 win at Le Mans. This is one such car; Number 072....
Originally registered in November 1988, this car had just two owners in its first 10 months before being acquired by the current owner and vendor in September 1989. A Gloucestershire business man with a keen interest in motorsport. It has remained amongst his private collection, albeit having been on SORN and unused, for the past several years. With its genuine mileage showing sub-32,000 miles covered, this is an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a Limited Edition car with massive future-classic potential.
It is not a concours car and does not pertain to be. The interior and cabin space is offered in very good, but not mint condition, and the bodywork and paint, though generally sound, is thwarted by an unfortunate clash with the garage door on the nearside front bumper, however, overall the car has aged gracefully and you'd be proud to own it. The special alloy wheels have begun to blemish in small patches and for that reason could benefit from light recommissioning.
Despite an extended period of no-use, the car will be offered for sale with a fresh MoT test certificate and will be making the journey to auction from South Gloucestershire under its own steam demonstrating that there are no mechanical gremlins to fear.
Our strong belief is that classic cars should be used and enjoyed, therefore, it pains us to suggest this, but with such low mileage and low ownership #072 is arguably an investment candidate to be bubble wrapped for the future if one were so inclined...
