Lot #217395
This 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a Tremec TKO 500 five-speed manual transmission that was installed in March 2021. The car is finished in Solent Blue over Barley leather and was purchased by the seller in 2020, who has since added 14k of the 27k miles shown. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a power antenna, fog lights, 15″ wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, heated front bucket seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and power windows. This XJ-S V12 is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Solent Blue (JFJ) and features a power antenna, fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, bright trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The right taillight operates intermittently, and the windshield wipers emit an unknown sound.
The 15″ wheels are mounted with 225/65 Pirelli P5 tires that show 2024 date codes. Braking is handled by ventilated front and solid inboard rear discs. The front shock mount bushings and stabilizer bar bushings were replaced in July 2023.
The seating surfaces are trimmed in Barley leather (AFW), while replacement burl wood trim that was installed in December 2020 accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a trip computer, heated front bucket seats, cruise control, power windows and locks, a wood shift knob, and automatic climate control that was converted to utilize R134a refrigerant in September 2021. A dual-port USB charger has been installed in place of the cigar lighter, and the front right seatbelt motor was replaced in October 2022. The center air conditioning vent is stuck in place due to a failed solenoid, and there is a tear in the right C-pillar liner. The removed cigar lighter is included in the sale.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 14k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator, and rear main seal were replaced, and the fuel injectors were cleaned in 2021, the radiator was repaired in March 2022, and the alternator, crank position sensors, battery, and starter were repalced in 2023.
A Tremec TKO 500 five-speed manual transmission was installed in March 2021, at which time the final drive ratio was converted to 3.31:1, and an AJ6 Engineering Super Enhanced ECU was installed to modify the fuel injection mapping for use with a five-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential. A stainless-steel exhaust system has also been fitted, and the catalytic converters were replaced in March 2021, while the fuel tank was replaced in May 2025.
