This 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 coupe shows 28k miles, approximately 800 of which were added after the seller purchased it in 2022, and it has spent a total of 15 years registered in California. The car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Black over Charcoal leather. Features include a limited-slip differential, silver-finished 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front seats, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and automatic climate control. This XJ-S V12 coupe is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Black (PDH) and features quad headlights with yellow lenses for the inner units as well as front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint is cracking near the trunk keylock.
Silver-finished 15″ cross-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Uniroyal tires that were installed in May 2021. Braking is provided by four-wheel anti-lock discs. The front brake calipers and pads were replaced in August 2021, and the shocks and struts were replaced with KYB units in October 2024, at which time control arm bushings and stabilizer bar links were replaced. The seller tells us that a clicking noise occasionally occurs when the rear suspension is loaded in a specific way during spirited driving.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Charcoal leather (LEG) along with burl wood veneer accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a driver-side airbag, power windows, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning blower motor was replaced in June 2021, and the air-conditioning compressor was replaced in August 2021. The cruise control system does not work, the wood veneer near the shifter is cracked, and the motor for the driver’s seat lumbar support runs, but it does not inflate, per the seller.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition wires, and fuel injectors were replaced in January 2021, the oil pressure transmitter was replaced in August 2021, and the radiator fan blade was replaced in October 2024.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission pan gasket and front subframe mounts were replaced in January 2021.
